EMBODIED (2024-2025)
From ghost to embodied. This body of work marks the return to physical aliveness after years of dissociation, silence, and suppression. The moment of coming back into the body, into space, into visibility.
These paintings are what it feels like to re-inhabit yourself. Not gently, but completely. Colour builds in layers, with parts peeled back, and built up again. What’s underneath insists on being felt, if not seen. The work moved from tentative marks and quiet whispers to undeniable colour and gestures that insist on being present and alive.
The series spans twenty-four works. Ten large-scale paintings, plus three medium works, carry the full force of gestural movement, saturated colour warm against cool, and depth built through layered transparencies and histories. Eleven smaller works are quieter explorations of the same territory. Together they form a single body of return: the slow, fierce act of becoming visible again.
A selection from the Embodied series (24 paintings). Full series exhibiting March & May 2026.
