Embodied is a series of twenty-four abstract paintings built up over months, in layers covered over and abraded back until something buried surfaces - marks, colours, traces that persist. What survives does so against erasure: broken, fragmented, but still present.

This body of work marks the moment of coming back into the body, into space, into visibility, after a period of dissociation, silence, and suppression. Not everything is allowed to surface, and what stays buried is not always mine to decide. Here the body becomes register and witness, a surface that records and testifies, the way land carries time and passing seasons.

Each painting is rooted in the landscape and colour of my past, and in close observation of natural surfaces and shifts, where time and weather do what my painting does - build up, crack open, and reveal partial histories of what’s underneath: body and landscape entwined.
